Leaving Letter - Paul Eckley
Dear Parents and Carers,
I hope you are well and are looking forward to an enjoyable Summer break.
I write to inform you that, after nearly 9 years as Deputy Head teacher and Headteacher I will be leaving my current role at the end of this academic year.
The reason I am leaving is to become the interim CEO of the Sovereign Trust which is an exciting and challenging role. I, therefore, look forward to working with all schools in the trust, including Manor in my new role.
Throughout my career, I have been very fortunate to work with some wonderful people, some brilliant teachers and some wonderful students and none more so than here at Manor. It has been a privilege to lead such an amazing school and I will miss working with such a great group of staff and students.
I have always enjoyed coming to work and there is not a day goes past when I do not enjoy seeing the pupil’s achievements. It is watching young people grow and develop, achieving their potential, becoming responsible young adults and citizens that drives every teacher and it has been a great pleasure to contribute to making this happen for so many Manor students.
I am delighted to inform you that Pam Symonds, Assistant Headteacher, has been appointed to become Head teacher. I wish her every success in the knowledge she will do a fantastic job. Pam has a long association with the school and will continue the great work that goes on at Manor. She will be ably supported by a very strong leadership team and we can be confident that the school will have a successful future under her guidance.
Finally, I would like to thank the staff for all their hard work, parents for their continued support and the Trust who have given me the opportunity to lead this amazing school. The pupils here are a major strength of the school and that is a testament to the relationship between the school and parents and the positive attitude of the parents and carers.
I look forward to seeing you at the various events that will take place between now and the end of the academic year and I would like to thank you for your continued support of the school.
Kind Regards,
Paul Eckley
Headteacher
