Hot weather Guidance

Good morning

As you are all aware we are expecting a heat wave with the hottest weather occurring on Monday 18th July and Tuesday 19th July. In school we will ensure your child is well looked after and are kept hydrated and as cool as possible during this period. It would help us and your child greatly if you could do the following to ensure they are as comfortable as possible:

  • Please send your child to school in their PE kit, please remind your child that they do not have to wear blazers.
  • If possible send your child to school with cool water in a re-fillable bottle.
  • Protect your child from sunburn by applying sun cream before school. Where children are able to apply sun cream themselves, parents should send sun cream with your child so they can reapply it when going outside. Staff can not apply it for them.
  • Send in a cap or hat with a wide brim for playtimes.

Thank you
